Giving Feels Good

Donors are partners with us in making young people’s lives safer and more hopeful, and we appreciate everyone who joins us in this important work! As State budgets are cut, and people in every walk of life tighten their belts, we depend more and more on donations from businesses, civic and faith groups and individuals to take care of the young people we serve. As is often the case, when times are hard the needs go up, but the funds go down. We pray that we will never have to say to a child, “I’m sorry, we can’t help you, we have no more funds.”

How can you help?

Give a financial gift for the operating support of Advocates, or for a particular project or program. A donation in honor or memory of a loved one can be a beautiful tribute. Your gift will be acknowledged to the honoree or family. You can donate securely using our online form.
If your company provides matching funds to personal financial donations, please contact us to allow us to help you leverage your generosity.

Consider including “Advocates for Bartow’s Children” in your estate plans. You will ensure that future generations of children will be cared for, and there might be important tax advantages for you and your heirs.

Participate in our Annual Duck Derby! Adopt a duck - you may win a great prize… or even a car! All proceeds benefit Advocates. This is a fun way to donate and a popular family event. Join us on May 14th this year at Riverside Day Use Area, and watch for fun adoption events all over town.

Advocates is also able to accept gifts of stock. Donating stock can offer tax advantages to you (please consult your financial advisor), and provides Advocates with valuable financial resources.
