Our funding comes from federal and state government, generous local civic organizations and businesses’ and individuals’ private donations. The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, The Georgia Health Foundation, the Northwest Georgia Community Foundation and the Cartersville-Bartow Community Foundation have made recent contributions which are are particularly appreciated.

The Cartersville Service League, the Cartersville Exchange Club, Georgia Power-Plant Bowen, Gerdau Ameristeel, The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, and other groups all put on large events to benefit Advocates. And many church congregations include the children in their giving and volunteer work as well.

We count on the generosity of our local community for approximately 40% of our operating income, and have never been disappointed.
